Autism Awareness Month Events at St Fintan’s High School.
As many of you may be aware, April is World Autism Awareness Month and the Culture Diversity and Inclusion Team at St Fintan’s High school have been busy organising events to highlight awareness. The students of this team are currently undertaking a Sensory Audit of the School. By doing this, we hope to be able to suggest some small changes that will make our school environment a more comfortable and sensory friendly place for all. A fun event organised to celebrate this month in collaboration with the Creative Schools Team, was our Sensory Friendly Silent Disco event for TY and 1st year students. Students joined in our sensory friendly sessions of dancing, socialising and music all at a socially distanced and safe manner.
